HiSET Credential

To earn the HiSET high school equivalency certificate, you must pass five subject area tests: reading, writing, science, social studies, and math. All five tests are multiple choice, and the writing test also includes an essay component.

When you come in to begin the HiSET process, you’ll take an assessment of your reading and math skills. We use the results of this assessment, and the five official practice tests, to see what areas you might need to brush up on. If your practice test results show that you need to work on one or more content area, our teachers will work with you on building your skills until you’re ready for the test.

HiSET® Pretesting $0/Term Registration

Prerequisites: Onboarding and Orientation

HiSET Pretesting is required before you can move on to either HiSET Prep or HiSET Official Testing. You will be required to complete all 5 pretests. From there your advisor or teacher will talk to you about your scores and what your next steps will be. HiSET Pretests must be done in person.

Writing Preparation for HiSET®

Prerequisites: Pretests

You will receive instruction in writing in preparation for HiSET testing. Topics will be based on pretest results. One-on-one instruction will be provided when possible.
